What does a painting sound like?

I’m thrilled to share my painting Stolen Moment in an entirely new way.

Composer and music technologist A. Eric Heukeshoven transformed visual elements from the painting into music through the process of sonification—translating color, texture, line and detail into sound.

Stolen Moment is part of the permanent collection of the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, and hearing Eric’s interpretation of it is an extraordinary experience.
